This book is decent.

Pros: good systematic method of approaching the encounters. Mnemonics are easy to remember and brand sense. The strategies it continually goes over exercise come up together to make a audio cohesive method to the encounter. The humanistic domain & history taking chapters are solid. The complaints in the simulated cases are a lot of 'most commons' and probably more likely to evidence upwards on your PE. The cases include a blank soap note and so you can practise writing them out.

Cons: I expected some OMM suggestions for complaints and there are none. I figured that if the book is aimed at the osteopathic exam so information technology would have a lilliputian more than osteopathic emphasis. Not much in the simulated cases every bit far every bit ideas for differential/plan.

I recollect the First Aid book is better - includes differentials and plans/workup on meridian of what this book offers. Utilize Savarese and/or Nicholas & Nicholas for the Osteopathic stuff.

Very good and helpful!

For those of y'all who wonder how they grade test takers, this book has information technology. This examination is a big waste product of money and time. It'southward just another way to for the AOA to make $$$, but you have to pass it anyway.

When I was a student, I had no thought what criteria they used to pass students. This book has it. You lot will not find the criteria online. Instead, you lot e'er hear vague "criteria" on what people retrieve they did to laissez passer. Just purchase this book. You'll wont regret. I had the fault of relying on the USMLE CS and that didn't help for COMLEX PE.

Awesome volume. I read this volume in its entirety on the aeroplane to Conshohocken, PA for my COMLEX PE. It had everything I needed (besides a few pertinent osteopathic treatments I reviewed from some other book). I passed and it was the main resource I used!
